How to enable 2-Factor Authentication for your gmail account?

In my previous post,we are discussed about importance of 2-Factor Authentication.Now Facebook,google,amazon also equipped with  2-factor authentication.And now we are going to see about how to activate 2-Factor Authentication in Gmail account.

  • After login your gmail account,Click settings button on the top right side of your gmail account and click settings.

  • Go to Account and Import section -> Other Google Account settings.
  • It redirects  to new tab named as  My Account.

  • Click sign-in & security

  • In Password & sign-in method section find the 2-Step verification option and click it.

  • After that click the get started button,It will redirected to login page again and ask account password for verification purpose.
  • After you given the correct password,it redirects to two factor authentication page and shows your android device which device you signed in or sign in that account to your android device.

  • click try it now it will rise an google prompt on your android device and click yes on that prompt to continue.
  • On next step it will ask your number,provide your mobile number(Google uses that mobile number only for security purpose)
  • Google verify your number by sending an code via text message or voice call.

  • Click turn on button,It will be completed successfully.
  • Other than Prompt google provide verification code via text or voice to your phone for login purpose.
